NOW OPEN ON SUNDAYS
We've resisted for a long time, preferring to take Sunday as our day of rest, but we cannot continue to ignore the pleas of our customers. So as of now we will be open every Sunday for breakfast and brunch, served from 9AM until 4PM. If you're one of our customers who simply can't make it to see us during the week you now have the option of coming on Sunday as well. The menu will be slightly different to the weekday/Saturday menu but you can be assured it will still be of the same high standard.

NO QUEUE JUMPING FOR FREDDIE
As the son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Lord Freddie WIndsor is used to getting red carpet treatment. So it was something of a novelty when he was turned away with his actress girlfriend Sophie Winkleman from a busy Kensington restaurant. Freddie, 28, who works as a financial analyst, and 27 year old Sophie went for a late lunch at the Kensington Square Kitchen last weekend, but - als - there was no room in the ten table restaurant.
"The waitress is an American student and didn't recognize them", owner Sara Adams, 29, tells me. "My husband, who was eating with some friends, saw them some in and was about to give up his table - only they left before he had time.
"We would love to have them back. They must have popped down from Kensington Palace, but it was Saturday and we get packed with a groovy young crowd."

Review in the London Lite
My new man waqnted me to take him shopping so he could benefit from my style guidance. But despite trekking the length and bredth of Kensington High Street we turned up nothing. Instead we ended up grumpy, cold and hungry. The only way to save this, I thought, was with cake and coffee, so I took him to a place I'd read about that had opened recently, Kensington Square Kitchen (9 Kensington Square, Kensington). Small and quaint with little painted booths, the place was very welcoming and it felt romantic to sit and look out the window as gusts of wind blew leaves around the square. We ordered cappuccinos in huge mugs, chocolate cornflake cakes and absolutely delicious raspberry and chocolate muffins. Our tastebuds tantalised, we went on to choose the best chocolate brownies I've ever tried. Moist, rich and with plenty of cocoa they were incredibly moreish. Not wanting to leave a few stone heavier than when we arrived, I managed to stop the cake-fest there. My boyfriend muttered something about stable doors and horses bolting, which I thought it was best to ignore. We paid our bill (£14) and headed back into the elements much happier than when we went in.

Restaurant Review in The Resident magazine
Locals will no doubt want to keep this cute little newcomer to themselves, not least because its diminutive size means it fills up really quickly. Tucked away at the bottom of a quiet square, just down the road from Kensington High Street, it makes a handy pit-stop on the way home from the shops and the all-day café menu offers deliciously tempting comfort food for breakfast, lunch and tea. Even those visiting after midday will find it hard to resist the American-style pancakes and ‘New York Breakfast’ (smoked salmon, cream cheese and red onion on toasted bagel) but, with daily blackboard specials supplementing the appealing list of international main meals, there’s plenty else to choose from.
